Baptist Hospital Pharmacists

Below you will find information on our pharmacy department and see testimonials from our caring staff.

What is the role of a Baptist Pharmacist?
Baptist Pharmacists are drug-use experts who not only distribute medications but guide patients and health professionals in the safest use of those medications. They advise physicians, nurses and other medical staff on new drugs, effective therapies, and the selection and administration of specific medications. Pharmacists must also perform critical computerized and other quality checks to detect and prevent harmful drug interactions, adverse reactions and mistakes. They work in a clean room using aseptic techniques to prepare powerful and complex injectable medications such as those used for cancer treatment.
